You have already done the hard part by creating the story. BigRoost Media can help you transform that story into a professionally organized audiobook that listeners can enjoy at home, in the car, or wherever they choose to listen, and we are strictly flat fee based, so we claim no rights nor ownership to your work.
Payment Options
Screenplays have to be transformed into a manuscript format, so the price is higher since adding details to existing narration then arranging speaking role content into paragraphs takes time:
Screenplays: 90 to 120-pages $355.00
Manuscripts: 150-225 $278.00 (higher page-count negotiable)

What You Will Receive
At the completion of the project, you will receive:
- An MP3 audiobook files divided into chapters
- Opening and closing credits
- A retail-ready audiobook cover (extra charge)
- Final audiobook in .LPF format for INaudio, a free audiobook distributor to Spotify, Barnes & Noble, GooglePlay and other audio platforms.
What We Provide
With the exception of screenplays that requires both conversion and some editing, manuscripts are narrated as received to maintain the author’s originality:
- An initial review of your manuscript
- Your suggestion of voice tone, i.e. voice accent, male, female, etc.
- A voice sample for your approval before full production begins
- Chapter building (for screenplays)
- Basic pacing, pronunciation, and sound-quality adjustments
- Opening and closing credits
- Audiobook cover preparation or adaptation (Extra charge, based on request)
- Final audio files prepared for submission to selected audiobook platforms
- Reasonable assistance with the upload-preparation process
You remain the owner of your story. BigRoost Media is providing a production service and does not take ownership of your manuscript, characters, title, or publishing rights.
Virtual Narration
The audiobooks we create are produced using carefully selected virtual voices. These voices can provide clear, natural-sounding narration without the cost normally associated with hiring a traditional narrator and recording studio.
Before full production begins, you will receive a sample using the proposed voice. Production will continue after you approve the voice and general narration style. We select voices that provide a live dramatic performance, working to create a natural and enjoyable listening experience where small differences in emotion, pronunciation, or delivery are too subtle to take away from the listening experience.
Getting Started
To begin, please provide the following (no explicit sexual material):
- Your final manuscript in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, or PDF format.
- Your name, book title, and preferred author or pen name.
- A list of character names, unusual words, locations, and preferred pronunciations.
- Your preferred narration style, such as warm, dramatic, conversational, authoritative, or youthful.
- Your existing book cover, if available (we can create the cover for an extra charge)
- Written confirmation that you own or have permission to use the submitted material.
You can also request a FREE sample by emailing two pages of your book, manuscript or screenplay to info@bigroost.com. Based on the volume of request, please allow two to for weeks for the audio sample.
After reviewing your manuscript, we will confirm the price, estimated production schedule, payment arrangement, and included services before work begins.
Retailers
At this time, Audible® is the only platform we cannot guarantee. Also, retailers and distributors have their own technical and content requirements. We prepare files to meet the known requirements of the selected platforms, but final approval always belongs to the retailer or distributor, so notify us if there’s an issue and we will do what we can to resolve it.
